Our journey will commence at the scheduled time in the Funchal Marina, a prime starting point for uncovering the city's origins.

As we make our way along the waterfront, we will pass by the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum, which celebrates the life of the renowned Portuguese football star. Interestingly, he hail from one of Funchal's lesser-known neighborhoods.

We'll also delve into the historic district, where some of the city's most notable landmarks await us. Among these is the São Lourenço palace-fortress, constructed between 1580 and 1640 during Portugal's Spanish rule. Here, we'll discuss the fort's critical role as a military bastion, recognized as one of Madeira’s key defensive sites.

Our walk will take us along Avenida do Mar, where we can admire the stunning façades of the Madeira Assembly and the Funchal Gate. The tour will culminate with an appreciation of the urban art murals and a leisurely walk down the city's oldest street.
