Options for the Activity

When you book, you can select from the following options for this rafting adventure on the Yellowstone River.

In either case, our meeting point will be at Scott Street, where we will equip you with all necessary gear, including wetsuits, water shoes, and waterproof jackets. After gearing up, a short vehicle ride of approximately 15 minutes will take us to the launch site in Gardiner. There, we will participate in a safety briefing prior to entering the water.

Short Tour without Lunch (3 Hours)

Our journey will commence at the northern edge of Yellowstone National Park, where the Gardner River meets the powerful Yellowstone River.

Over a stretch of approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), we will navigate through class II and III rapids, designed for various experience levels, ensuring an exhilarating time. As we paddle, we will encounter thrilling sections known as Man-Eater Hole, Boonie’s Revenge, and Sleeping Giant.

While enjoying this experience, you will be treated to marvelous views and, if fortune smiles upon us, we might catch glimpses of wildlife such as moose, bison, bald eagles, and perhaps even river hawks—it promises to be unforgettable!

We will also encounter more tranquil river moments that invite a refreshing swim or a gentle float, allowing you to appreciate the stunning surroundings. Did you know that this region is renowned for offering exceptional opportunities to observe birds of prey in their natural habitat?

At the conclusion of our outing, a vehicle will return us to the original meeting point.

Long Tour with Lunch (6 Hours)

For those opting for the lunch-inclusive experience, we will follow the same initial route, tackling thrilling rapids alongside more serene sections near Gardner.

After this, our adventure continues into the picturesque Paradise Valley, where we will pause for a delightful lunch featuring a sandwich with fries, biscuits, and lemonade. You can select from options like ham, turkey, peanut butter and jelly, or vegetarian.

Rejuvenated, we will proceed into the idyllic Yankee Jim Canyon, often regarded as one of the most scenic segments of the Yellowstone River. With shimmering waters and breathtaking landscapes, you will find countless opportunities to immerse yourself in nature.

Finally, we will head back to our starting location to conclude our adventure.

Requirements for the Activity

For participation, it is crucial that your life vest fits properly, which means a maximum chest circumference of 140 centimeters (55 inches) is required.
