Viñales Valley Day Trip

After departing from your hotel, we will set out from Havana towards the Viñales Valley, situated in western Cuba and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. During our journey, we'll pause at a local ranch to appreciate the traditional rural homes typical of this area.

As we drive through the landscape surrounded by tobacco fields, you'll learn that this region is the island’s leading producer of tobacco. Upon reaching Viñales, we’ll visit a tobacco farm, observing the age-old technique of rolling the leaves into the iconic Cuban cigars. If you like, you’ll have the chance to enjoy one of these cigars as a complimentary offer.

Once we arrive at the heart of Viñales Valley, the Prehistoric Mural will capture our attention, being one of the largest open-air frescoes in the world, painted on Jurassic-era rock formations.

Next, we’ll head to the Jasmines viewpoint, known as "the balcony of Viñales," where you can admire sweeping views of the mogotes, the rounded mountains, and the vibrant plant life that fills the valley.

Then, we’ll indulge in a traditional meal accompanied by country music and overlooking the valley vista. Our journey will continue to the Cueva del Indio, an ancient cavern celebrated for its stunning mineral formations. Here, we’ll board a boat to navigate the underground river that flows within the cave. The current will guide us through a narrow passage until we emerge into the lush Caribbean jungle.

After exploring the colonial town of Viñales, we'll make our way back to Havana, concluding the tour at your hotel.
