Our journey begins at the exterior of Heidelberg Castle, where we'll admire the spacious courtyard and the striking Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Although the structure stands in partial ruin, its former grandeur is still evident.
As we continue, we will wander through the old town and cross the Old Bridge to arrive at the Charles Gate. Here, a distinctive monkey statue welcomes visitors, serving as a beloved emblem of the city. We will also pause to appreciate the magnificent Renaissance façade of the Knights' House, while walking past the charming wooden homes that line the city’s streets.
Our exploration will lead us to the University of Heidelberg, the oldest in Germany. The tour will conclude by returning to our initial meeting spot, or we can finish at another location of your choosing within the city. The choice is yours!
