Guided Tour of Helsinki and Suomenlinna

After the initial pickup, we'll embark on a delightful scenic tour of Helsinki. From the comfort of our climate-controlled vehicle, we'll pass by notable landmarks such as the Olympic Stadium, Esplanade Park, and Market Square.

Throughout this excursion, we will pause at three key locations for photo opportunities and closer looks at the sights. Our first stop is the Sibelius Monument, honoring Jean Sibelius, celebrated as Finland's premier composer. Next, we will visit Senate Square, where the impressive facade of the Lutheran Cathedral of Helsinki awaits. Lastly, we will observe the exterior of the nearby Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, whose ornate red brick design would blend seamlessly into the ambiance of Moscow's Red Square.

Leaving Uspenski Cathedral Square, we’ll make our way to Helsinki's port, where we will embark on a ferry to the charming island of Suomenlinna. The crossing, taking just 15 minutes, will offer stunning views of the scenic archipelagos along Finland's southern shore.

Upon our arrival, we will embark on a fascinating walking tour around Suomenlinna. This fortified island, designated as a World Heritage Site, is rich in both natural beauty and historical significance. We’ll stroll through its lovely gardens and explore the remnants of the ancient fortress, which once rendered this Baltic outpost nearly invincible. Additionally, we will visit the Suomenlinna Church, notable for its striking turquoise roofs and bell tower.

Following our exploration of the island, we will return on the ferry to the Helsinki port.
