Faial Island Half Day Tour

Our adventure begins as we collect you from your accommodation in Horta at the pre-arranged time to embark on a journey around Faial Island. Are you excited to uncover the treasures hidden in this Azorean paradise?

The first stop is the viewpoint of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. From this stunning overlook, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of key landmarks including Praia do Almoxarife, Horta Marina, as well as Monte Queimado and Monte da Guia.

Next, we will make our way to Caldeira, recognized as the most renowned natural attraction on Faial Island. This impressive crater, which spans 2 kilometers in diameter and reaches depths of 400 meters, is entirely enveloped by a unique laurel forest.

Subsequently, we’ll visit the Ribeira das Cabras viewpoint, where you can enjoy views of the Fajã da Praia do Norte and the Capelo Peninsula.

Prepare for a fascinating experience as we proceed to Capelinhos Volcano. This extraordinary site, along with its surrounding dwellings and fields, was blanketed by volcanic ash from the significant eruptions that occurred in 1957 and 1958.

The tour will culminate with captivating coastal views from the viewpoint of Monte da Guia, after which we will return you to your hotel in Horta by 2:30 PM.
