Activity Overview

At the scheduled time, we will convene at the Horta port and board a boat that will take us to explore the waters home to sharks off the shores of Faial Island. Are you ready to take the plunge alongside them?

We’ll navigate to one of the popular gathering spots for blue sharks and attempt to attract them using fish. Patience will be key as we await the appearance of these majestic creatures.

During our wait, you will have the opportunity to get fitted with a mask and snorkel, while we share fascinating insights about blue sharks. You’ll learn about their interactions with humans, how far they can migrate, and details regarding their size and weight.

Once the blue sharks start to show up, you'll have the chance to swim and snorkel alongside these incredible animals. Contrary to common misconceptions, you'll find they tend to be quite gentle. Remember to adhere to the guide's directions at all times.

After an engaging experience lasting between 3 to 5 hours, we will conclude our adventure and return to our original location.
