Description

We will set off from your Ica hotel at dawn, embarking on a scenic two-hour drive to the Aerodromo de Nazca. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!

Your journey will be aboard a light aircraft designed for 6 passengers and 2 crew members. Each passenger will have their own individual seat equipped with panoramic windows, ensuring you won't miss any of the captivating geoglyphs, including the condor and spider, that depict the renowned Nazca Lines.

Curious about the origins and purpose of these figures? During the flight, we’ll explore these intriguing questions as you marvel at the sights. After approximately 35 minutes in the air, you'll return to the same airport, concluding the flight with a special flight certificate to commemorate the experience. Before heading back to your hotel, you'll have some free time for lunch at a downtown Nazca restaurant. Our return to Ica is scheduled for around 3:30 pm.

Flight + Aqueducts + Maria Reiche Museum

For a more enriching experience, consider our extended option that also includes visits to the Cantalloc aqueducts and the Maria Reiche Museum.

Beginning at 7 am, we will pick you up from your Ica hotel and head straight to the Maria Reiche Museum, where our first visit will take place. At 9 am, a guided exploration of the museum will commence, featuring insights into the life of a significant German figure who focused on the study and preservation of the Nazca Lines during the 1950s.

By 10:30 am, we will head to the airfield, where the 35-minute flight over the Nazca Lines begins. After landing, you will receive your flight certificate before we continue to the Cantalloc aqueducts. Did you know that these remarkable hydraulic structures have been supplying underground water for over a millennium?

Next, you’ll have some leisure time to enjoy lunch at a local establishment and replenish your energy. After lunch, we will regroup and commence our journey back to Ica, expecting to arrive around 5 pm.

Hotel pickup in Ica

On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ica at the indicated time. Please be at the hotel reception 15 minutes in advance.

This activity includes pickup only at centrally located hotels in Ica. If your accommodation is further away, you'll have to go on your own to the Sam Travel Experiences Office (Office #03 - III Etapa, Urb. Ciudadela Magisterial, Calle Las Palmeras Mz.O Lt. 01, Ica 11000, Peru).

Please note the following schedules depending on the ticket option you choose:

Flight over the Nazca Lines: we'll pick you up at the hotel at 6:30 am
Flight over the Nazca Lines + Aqueducts + Maria Reiche Museum: we'll pick you up at the hotel at 7 am

The flight schedule in Nazca can be affected due to weather conditions, so some days there could be flight delays due to fog. However, we guarantee that the flight will always take place. You just have to wait for the fog to clear.

Documentation

On the day of the tour, you will have to bring a valid passport for each of the participants in the activity. In addition, you will have to pay for the tourist ticket of the Nazca Lines: 47PEN per person.

Restrictions

The maximum weight of each passenger on the flight cannot exceed between 90 kg (198 lbs) and 100 kg (220 lbs). If you exceed this weight limit, you will have to pay 70USD for each extra seat. The surcharge will be subject to condition, depending on the weight of the other passengers.
