Applecross and the Highlands Trip

We will meet in the morning at Railway Terrace in Inverness, where our journey to the Applecross peninsula begins.

Our first stop after approximately one and a half hours of travel, through the picturesque Black Island, will be the village of Lochcarron. Here, you will have an opportunity to take photos of the vast Loch Carron estuary.

We will continue our trip towards the Applecross peninsula, passing the remote village of Achnitraid, located on the shores of Loch Kishorn. We will then cross the Bealach na Ba mountain pass, which winds through dramatic landscapes. At the summit, we will stop to admire the stunning views of the Highlands.

Then, we will descend to the village of Applecross. Upon arrival, you will discover the beautiful bay and the rich wildlife of the area, including otters and deer.

After exploring the main attractions in Applecross, we will board the bus to start our return trip to Inverness. On the way back, we will pass spectacular sights like Loch Torridon and Beinn Eighe, the first National Nature Reserve in Great Britain, established in 1951.

We will also make a brief stop at the fishing village of Shieldaig to stretch our legs and grab a snack or drink if needed. Our final stop will be Kinlochewe before returning to Inverness.
