Details of the Day Trip

Your adventure will begin early in the morning, with a pickup from your accommodation in Kandy at 7 am. From there, we will embark on a scenic drive to the archaeological site of Sigiriya. This enjoyable journey will last approximately two and a half hours.

Upon arrival, we will disembark and delve into the remarkable ruins of this 5th-century palace. Here, we will encounter the renowned Lion's Rock and uncover the history behind its intriguing name!

Following our exploration, you will have some leisure time to savor the delightful local cuisine at one of the traditional restaurants in the area (meals not included).

Next, we will proceed to the charming city of Dambulla, where we will visit the captivating Dambulla Cave Temple, also referred to as the Golden Temple. This extraordinary network of caves represents the largest and most well-preserved religious complex in Sri Lanka.

To conclude the day, we will transport you back to your hotel in Kandy, with an estimated arrival time of around 4 pm.
