Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour
At 8 am, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Katowice. Following a journey of approximately 1 hour, we will arrive at Auschwitz-Birkenau, the site of some of the most tragic events in modern history.
The complex consists of several different camps. We will initiate our visit at Auschwitz I, the concentration camp originally established to imprison political dissidents, which later became a site for various targeted groups by the Nazis, including Jews, Romani individuals, homosexuals, and intellectuals. At the camp's entrance, you'll observe the sign that reads "Arbeit macht frei". Are you aware of its meaning? Following this, we will explore the cramped cells where prisoners lived and the locations where they were compelled to labor.
Our journey will then lead us to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the mass extermination camp where countless lives were tragically lost. Here, you'll witness the ruins of the crematoriums and gas chambers, which were destroyed by German forces in an attempt to obliterate the evidence of their atrocities.
Our tour will conclude back in Katowice by 3 pm.
Hotel Pickup
When making your reservation, you will have the option to provide the name of your hotel in Katowice, allowing for a convenient pickup from your location.
Important
- It is essential to carry a valid passport or national ID with you on the day of your visit.
- Access to the camp is only granted through certified guides authorized by the camp, and external guides are not permitted. You will receive confirmation of your guide 12 to 16 hours prior to the tour.
- To ensure a group size permitting guide access, a minimum number of participants is required. If this threshold is not met, the tour may be canceled or rescheduled.
- Once the minimum group size is confirmed, we secure tickets and guides accordingly. However, for last-minute bookings, availability of guides may be limited, and cancellation of the activity could occur.

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Katowice, specified when making your booking, at the scheduled time. Please be ready punctually.
Required documents
You must bring your valid passport or national ID with you on the day of the tour.
Restrictions
Please note that visitors cannot enter Auschwitz Museum with a backpack or handbag larger than 30x20x10cm. You can either leave it on the bus or store it at the museum’s checkroom.
Nobody under the influence of alcohol will be allowed to get on the bus.
Bringing food, picnics, and littering in the concentration camp is strictly prohibited. Above all, please exercise common sense, remember that this is a place where over a million people lost their lives, and please behave accordingly.
Important
- Due to the large number of visitors, the schedule may be modified. It's important that you have your mobile phone fully operational in case of any changes of this kind.
- The visit to the camp can only take place with qualified guides from the camp and not with external guides. The confirmation of the guide is only guaranteed 12-16 hours before the activity.
- All operators require a minimum group size to be able to access the camp with a guide, so sometimes, if this is not reached, the activity may be cancelled or rescheduled.
- We reserve tickets and secure a guide as soon as the minimum group size is met. However, for last-minute bookings, guide availability cannot be guaranteed, and the activity may be subject to cancellation.
- However, if there is any change in the departure time of the excursion, we'll notify you at least 15-24 hours before the activity.
