Build an Igloo

Experience the life of an Eskimo by crafting your very own Igloo amidst the stunning landscapes of Andorra. This unique adventure is an ideal way to immerse yourself during your stay in Escaldes.

Igloo Construction

We will gather at the El Cubil parking area adjacent to the Grau Roig ski resort. Here, we will collect all necessary materials and tools required for this incredible igloo construction experience before venturing into the enchanting forests of the Moretó Valley.

As we traverse the area, participants will discover insights into Eskimo lifestyles and the remarkable characteristics of these frozen dwellings. The adventure will begin with the creation of a compacting or block igloo, based on the snowfall conditions of the day. You will uncover fascinating information, including how these igloos provide warmth even in frigid temperatures as low as -40º.

The only tools required for constructing these chilly habitats are shovels and saws. Upon completing our build, we will step inside the igloo to experience the distinct atmosphere that contrasts with the outside elements.

After an engaging 1.5 hours of exploration and igloo construction, we will return to our starting point, marking the end of this intriguing experience.
