Lucca Night Tour

As darkness envelops Lucca, its historic center takes on a captivating charm. For those wishing to experience its major attractions under the gentle glow of night, this evening tour is an excellent choice. Marvel at the illuminated Church of San Michele in Foro, the towering Guinigi Tower, the prestigious Teatro del Giglio, and numerous other notable structures.

Evening Exploration of Lucca

At 9 pm, our adventure begins in Piazza San Michele. With the setting sun, the streets and edifices of Lucca brighten, creating a picturesque backdrop ideal for our evening journey, enhancing the historic city's enchanting vibe.

As we wander through the streets, we will take the time to appreciate the exquisite marble churches, including San Michele in Foro. This church was built atop an ancient Roman forum, a fact we'll uncover along our route, alongside other intriguing details.

Next, we will arrive at Piazza Napoleone, where we'll pause to admire the façade of the Palazzo Ducale, a structure with roots tracing back to the 14th century. Close by stands the Teatro del Giglio, an emblematic opera venue, as well as St. Martin's Cathedral (or Lucca Cathedral), perfect for photography enthusiasts!

Continuing along the historical path, we will reach Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, one of Lucca’s most renowned spots within the historic center. Following the delightful Via Fillungo, we will observe significant sites like the Basilica of San Frediano and the Torre delle Ore, the town’s clock tower, all under the starry sky.

After two enriching hours immersed in Lucca’s culture, we will conclude our tour back at our starting location.
