Meeting Point

The meeting point is directly at the coffee farm. Guests arrive by their own means to the farm, which is located 5 minutes by car from Itagüí Metro Station. They can easily reach it via UBER or public transport. It is also about 20 minutes from El Poblado and 25 minutes from Laureles (traffic permitting) if they do not wish to use the Metro.

Experience Overview

The experience begins at the scheduled time with a welcome from the hosts. It is divided into three parts. First, there is a talk about the origin of coffee, its arrival in America, and the evolution from commercial coffee to specialty coffee. This part concludes with an analysis of the coffee processing methods used on farms, highlighting the differences between washed, honey, and natural coffee.

Farm Tour

Next, guests will take a tour of the farm where, depending on the season, they may pick coffee. They will analyze the differences between varieties of arabica coffee in the field and experience the processes of depulping and drying coffee.

Preparation and Tasting

Finally, guests will return to the farmhouse to prepare three coffee-based beverages in different ways, analyzing the sensory results and enjoying Colombia’s specialty coffee. The experience concludes after approximately 3 hours, providing an in-depth understanding of Colombian specialty coffee.
