Overview of the Day Trip

Our adventure begins with a prompt pickup from your accommodation in Mendoza. We will then travel eastward along the National Route 7, heading towards the picturesque border with Chile.

The road trip includes around three hours of scenic driving, during which you'll enjoy traditional pancakes paired with a selection of beverages such as mate, coffee, or tea. During this segment, we will pass through the charming village of Cacheuta, as well as observe the stunning Potrerillos Reservoir and the impressive Cordón del Plata mountain range.

Continuing our journey, we will drive through the quaint settlements of Uspallata and Horcones before arriving at the Puente del Inca. Here, you'll become acquainted with the intriguing legend surrounding this natural monument. Following this, we will visit the Aconcagua Provincial Park Visitors' Center for an engaging exploration.

After a short break, we will embark on a leisurely 2.5-hour hike, reaching an altitude of approximately 10,000 ft above sea level. This trek takes you through stunning landscapes, including the serene Horcones Lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno Bridge. We will pause at this last location for a picnic lunch featuring authentic Carne Criolla empanadas, fruits, alfajores, assorted sweets, and fine wine sourced from Mendoza.

After enjoying our meal, we will retrace our steps back to the visitor's center, reboard our bus, and make our way back to your hotel in Mendoza. We expect to return approximately 10 hours after our departure.
