Activity Overview

At the scheduled hour, our vehicle will collect you from your Montevideo hotel. Once on board, we’ll embark on a scenic 40-minute drive towards the winery. The enchanting fragrance of luscious grapes and the picturesque views of the vineyard will signal our arrival at Spinoglio Winery. Prepare your palate!

The winery greets us with its historic stone architecture. Our journey begins in the cellar, a unique underground space where barrels age in optimal conditions. Following this, we’ll stroll through the vineyards, which boast a legacy of 120 years.

An experienced winemaker will guide us through the intricate process of turning grapes into wine that expresses the characteristics of Uruguayan soil. We’ll delve into the rich history of Spinoglio, exploring the techniques that have been handed down through generations, and fostering a deep appreciation for this artisanal craft.

Next comes an eagerly awaited highlight: the wine tasting at the winery. We will relish the various selections, each glass embodying unique aromas and flavors that echo Spinoglio’s tradition. After the tasting, you can use bicycles, provided for your enjoyment, to leisurely explore the surrounding fields and gardens.

To conclude our visit, we will retrace our steps back to your hotel, marking the end of a delightful 6-hour experience.

When booking your visit, you can select from two experiences:

• Visit with tasting: This option includes a tasting where you will indulge in four wines from the winery: Chardonnay, Cab Franc, Tonel X, and Tannat, complemented by a selection of cheeses and cured meats featuring seasonal regional ingredients.
• Visit with tasting and lunch: For those looking to enhance their experience, this option includes the aforementioned tasting, followed by a meal at the MonfrÁ restaurant located within Spinoglio Winery. Here, you can opt for a suggested lunch menu that may include either a choice of four courses with one wine, or a three-course meal consisting of an appetizer selected by the chef, a main dish, and dessert paired with one wine and water.
