Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel around 9 am, followed by a comfortable ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to the port of Dakar. Upon arrival, you will board a ferry that is ready to transport you to Goree Island.

After about 20 minutes at sea, we will reach the small island located off Senegal's Cape Verde Peninsula. Recognized for its significant involvement in the transatlantic slave trade spanning three centuries, Goree was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.

To delve deeper into this somber chapter of history, our first stop will be the House of Slaves, a museum dedicated to honoring the millions of individuals who were imprisoned and sold here. The abhorrent practice came to an end in 1848 with the abolition of slavery in France.
