Vents du Sud Winery Wine Tasting

Sweet, red, rosé, white... In this tasting of wines from the South of France, various varieties will be sampled at Vents du Sud, a family-run winery in Vingrau, located half an hour from Perpignan.

This wine tasting occurs at the scheduled time at the Domaine Vents du Sud. This well-regarded family-run winery resides in the wine-growing village of Vingrau, just a half-hour drive from Perpignan.

An English-speaking oenologist will greet you upon arrival. First, you'll explore the types of terroir and the winemaking methods utilized in the Pyrénées-Orientales, within the Occitania region, renowned for its rich winemaking heritage.

Following the introduction, the wine experience will progress to the tasting of 7 wines. This includes two sweet wines, one rosé, two whites, and two reds. Participants will also learn the proper way to enjoy each type of wine.

Dry white wines, such as the fruity Elegance or the toasted and buttery Grenache Blanc, pair well with apéritifs, starters, and cheeses. The Pétales de Rose rosé is versatile, suitable for chilling in summer or serving at room temperature in winter. The red selections include lighter options like Sardane and the more robust Tango, while the Emotion Muscat and Ruby are noteworthy among the sweet wines.

Each wine type will be complemented with a specific pairing: toasted salmon for white and rosé wines, cured meats and cheeses for the reds, and chocolate for the sweet wines.

The tasting concludes with a toast after this 1.5-hour experience.
