Day Trip to Postojna Caves & Predjama Castle

Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel in Piran at 9 a.m., where you’ll board a comfortable minibus to initiate the exploration. As we traverse past the Slovenian border, we will arrive in Postojna, home to a cave celebrated for its breathtaking beauty.

Approximately one hour into the journey, we will reach the Postojna Cave and embark on an awe-inspiring subterranean exploration. Within the cave, marvel at the spectacular rock formations that have developed over millennia, including fascinating stark white stalagmites measuring up to 5 meters.

Furthermore, our adventure continues as we board a small train to access areas within the cave that are otherwise unreachable on foot. This leg of the tour will unveil Murano glass chandeliers, a grand ballroom, and the elusive olms, fondly referred to as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Next, we will make our way to Predjama Castle, a captivating medieval structure dramatically situated on a cliff. Steeped in legends, this fortress is the backdrop for the fascinating story of Erasmus of Predjama, known as the Slovenian Robin Hood.

Concluding this memorable tour, we will return to Piran, ensuring your arrival back at your hotel by approximately 2 p.m.
