Experience Details

Before dawn breaks, we will collect you from your accommodation and transfer you to the Pucallpa port, found along the Ucayali River. Are you prepared to encounter one of the most stunning sunrises imaginable?

Upon arrival at the dock, we will board a peque-peque, a traditional Amazonian craft. This unique vessel is a slender canoe with an outboard motor distinguished by its notable propeller shaft, setting it apart from conventional paddle canoes.

As we journey along the river, expect a captivating display of wildlife. You’ll likely observe a variety of Amazonian birds, including the impressive tuyuyo, vivid kingfishers, elegant herons, and seasonal gulls. With some luck, you may also encounter bufeos colorados (the charming gray and pink river dolphins) that reside in these waters.

The peque-peque adventure will culminate at the enchanting Pucallpillo lagoon, offering a perfect vantage point to marvel at the sunrise. As daylight begins to peek through the canopy, the surface of the water transforms into a glassy reflection of the dawn's vibrant colors, setting the stage for extraordinary photographic moments.

Following this magical experience, we will return to your hotel, concluding our journey together after approximately 3 hours.
