Guided Tour of Puerto Cabello
Welcome to Puerto Cabello! We will gather at Plaza El Águila at the scheduled time to begin our walking adventure in Venezuela's premier port city.
During our journey, we will encounter some of the key landmarks in Puerto Cabello, a vibrant place brimming with history and color. Our first stop will be the Malecón, where you’ll gain insights into the rich historical tapestry of Venezuela, adorned with fountains and mermaid sculptures.
Next, we will proceed to Plaza Bolívar and the Cathedral of San José, built on the grounds of the Anzoátegui Barracks. After appreciating this modern structure, we'll continue to the Museo Casa Herrera, dedicating approximately half an hour to explore Puerto Cabello’s fascinating history.
As we move forward, we'll step back in time while admiring the vibrant colonial houses and unveiling tales of pirates and captains who vied for control of trade routes in the fifteenth century.
Additionally, our path will reveal remarkable monuments, including the Church of El Rosario, Casa Guipuzcoana, Plaza Juan José Flores, Street Lanceros and its Prefects, as well as the Monument to Decentralization. Do remember to capture these moments!
As our tour concludes after approximately 2-3 hours, we will make our way back to the starting point, wrapping up this enriching experience.
