Activity Details

Your adventure begins at a convenient location adjacent to the Colosseum, where we will greet you and assist with ticket collection and audio guide installation on your mobile device.

After a brief yet insightful introduction to the history of the area, we will lead you directly to the Colosseum entrance, allowing you to bypass the lengthy queues and proceed to the security check for access to one of the world's Seven Wonders. Are you prepared to unveil its many secrets?

Inside the Flavian Amphitheatre, you have the freedom to wander through its vastness at your leisure with the audio guide. Following your visit to the Colosseum, you can continue your exploration independently through the archaeological wonders of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The joy of this experience is the ability to explore all three locations at your own pace.

What Will You See During the Visit?

  • The Colosseum: Step back into the age of gladiators and witness the brutal contests against wild animals in the Flavian Amphitheatre. Uncover the marvels of its engineering, from the complex pulley systems to how the 50,000 spectators were accommodated to witness the most spectacular events of ancient times.
  • The Roman Forum: Stroll through the very core of political, judicial, and religious life in the city. Amidst the marble remnants, you will find significant structures such as the Temple of Saturn, the House of the Vestals, and the Arch of Titus, all of which were pivotal in the destiny of the Empire.
  • The Palatine Hill: Ascend to the most central of Rome's seven hills, the legendary birthplace of Romulus and Remus. You’ll meander through the ruins of opulent imperial residences and relish breathtaking views of the Circus Maximus and the Forum below, perfect for photographs!

Additionally, you are free to explore the archaeological complex until closing time, allowing you to delve into Rome’s history at your own rhythm and with complete autonomy.

Admission to the Colosseum + Arena

During the reservation procedure, you have the option to select a ticket that includes access to the Arena. This grants entry to the area where gladiatorial combats and wild animal hunts once occurred. You will find yourself standing where the thrilling spectacles of ancient Rome took place.

A partial reconstruction of the original wooden floor will allow you to appreciate a unique view of the stands and understand the organization of the games from this main stage.

Furthermore, this option includes access to a digital recreation and narration of the ancient races at the Circus Maximus. Through this immersive experience, you will grasp what this grand arena was like and relive the excitement of chariot races that captivated all of Rome, enlightening you on the dynamics of the factions, the strategies employed by charioteers, and the social and political ramifications of these events.
