Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Medellín, setting the stage for an exploration filled with the breathtaking scenery of the Antioquia area.

Our first destination is the delightful town of San Luis, where we'll commence a 12-kilometer (7.4 miles) trek along the El Tambo trail. This hike, categorized as medium to high difficulty, will ascend to an impressive 1450 meters (4757 feet) above sea level.

As we walk this ancient pathway once traversed by the early settlers of San Luis, you’ll find yourself amidst a verdant tropical rainforest, rich in the diverse biodiversity of the Antioquia region. We’ll take time to discuss the various species that inhabit this area and may have the chance to spot some during our hike!

Continuing onward, we will reach a natural pool, perfect for a refreshing swim. Taking advantage of this beautiful setting, we'll pause for lunch, featuring a selection of cold meats and fresh fruits. After enjoying our meal, we will make our way back to San Luis.

Upon our return to San Luis, we’ll conclude our journey and return you to your hotel in Medellín, wrapping up an enriching 11-hour experience in the Colombian rainforest.
