At the arranged time, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Tbilisi for an exciting jeep ride through the Caucasian valleys. Our journey will cover approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) to the southeast, leading us to the Kakheti region, where one of its most picturesque sites awaits: the David Gareja Monastery.

This remarkable location is a rock-hewn monastery complex established by St. David Gareja, notable among the 13 Assyrian monks who traveled to Georgia in the 6th century, founding various convents across the land.

Perched beside the Mount Gareja desert, the monastery offers breathtaking views of the surrounding arid scenery. During our visit, we will explore the complex, taking in its fortifications, towers, ancient frescoes, and more.

You will gain insights into the significance and history of the monastery throughout the tour, including captivating anecdotes, such as the fact that King Demetrius I of Georgia was confined here following his abdication in 1154.

Following our exploration, we will set off on an 8-kilometer (5 miles) hike through the vibrant Rainbow Mountains, where you'll be enchanted by landscapes that seem to belong to another world.

On our return journey, we will pause at a local village for a delightful lunch, where you'll also have the opportunity to taste the renowned Georgian mulled wine. After a full day of exploration lasting ten hours, we will conclude our excursion by bringing you back to Tbilisi, where we'll drop you off at your hotel.
