This excursion departs from the city of Tours, taking you into the expansive vineyards of Vouvray, a prominent wine-producing region in the picturesque Loire Valley. An ideal experience for aficionados of exquisite French wines.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we will gather in front of the Tours Tourist Office and embark on our minibus journey toward Vouvray. The area is renowned as one of the premier wine regions lining the Loire River.

Our first stop will be at a family-operated estate, where we’ll tour the traditional vat room before venturing into its underground cellars. These ancient tunnels, hewn in the 10th century for stone extraction, now serve as perfect environments for the production and maturation of wine. Here, we will delve into each phase of the winemaking journey and indulge in a wine tasting session to enhance your appreciation of the craft.

The adventure progresses as we reach the Amboise area, where a second tasting experience awaits. During this segment, we will sample the wide array of wines unique to this valley: whites, rosés, reds, and sparkling wines, each reflecting its distinct characteristics and history. Throughout the excursion, we will provide valuable insights to enrich your understanding of the terroir and the diverse offerings of Loire Valley wines.

We will conclude our journey with a return to Tours, reaching our original meeting point after approximately four and a half hours of exploration.
