Rafting on the Pacuare River

Rafting Overview

Our expedition starts with a pick-up from your accommodation in Turrialba at the scheduled time. Following that, we will head towards the Siquirres region, arriving at the banks of the Pacuare River within an hour. Are you ready to embark on this thrilling journey?

Upon arrival, we’ll equip ourselves with all essential rafting gear and provide a briefing focused on safety protocols and effective paddling techniques. With these preparations complete, we will be all set to tackle the exciting waters of the Pacuare River.

As we enter the river, we will begin paddling towards some of the most demanding sections, including Huacas Arriba, Huacas Abajo, Cimarrones, and Dos Montañas. It’s time to test your limits!

Our journey will guide us through class II, III, and IV rapids, truly a challenge for both skill and collaboration. Over the span of 4 hours, you will navigate through canyons enveloped by lush tropical foliage, witnessing breathtaking waterfalls and vibrant wildlife in Costa Rica. Keep an eye out for the charming sloths!

Once we have completed our rafting experience, we’ll head back to land where facilities such as showers are available. There, you can savor a traditional Costa Rican meal featuring a barbecue of meat or fish, accompanied by gallo pinto, salad, and fried plantains or tostones. Bon appétit!

To conclude our outing, we will journey back to Turrialba, meandering past the Reventazón River canyon and the Turrialba Volcano. After a full day of adventure lasting approximately 7 hours, we'll return you safely to your hotel.
