Details of the Day Trip

We will begin our journey with a pickup from your accommodation in Vienna at the scheduled time. The drive will present you with picture-perfect views of the Salzkammergut mountain region.

After approximately 3.5 hours on the road, we will reach the enchanting Hallstatt, nestled in the Austrian Alps, where the town’s unique beauty awaits to captivate you. Did you know this charming locale inspired the captivating snowy realm depicted in the film Frozen? Here, guided by our English-speaking expert, you'll wander through the quaint cobblestone pathways that have borne witness to 700 years of rich and eventful history. As you delve deeper into the town, take time to appreciate the distinctive architectural features of its homes and the local church.

You'll then enjoy 1 hour and 30 minutes of leisure time for lunch and further exploration at your own pace.

As the day wraps up, if you're visiting during the summer months, bid farewell to Hallstatt with a charming boat ride on the lake. If your travel occurs outside of summer, we will explore the fascinating Bone House at St. Michael's Chapel, renowned for its collection of over 600 artistically crafted skulls, originating from the 12th century.

Upon concluding our day trip, we will head back to Vienna by bus, with an expected arrival at the Vienna State Opera around 8:15 pm.

Pickup Information

During the booking process, a drop-down menu will display various pickup times and hotels located in central Vienna. You should select one from this list; if your hotel is not included, it means pickup is unavailable.

If you make your reservation less than 24 hours in advance or your accommodation is not listed, we will arrange for you to be picked up at the designated time from a nearby location close to the Vienna State Opera.
