Embark on a journey to explore a quintessential Lithuanian medieval town with this day excursion to Trakai. You will discover its renowned castle and wander through charming, storybook-like streets.

Trakai Day Excursion

At 11 am, we will convene at Odminiu Square in Vilnius for a scenic 40-minute bus ride to Trakai, a picturesque town enveloped by five lakes. During our transit, an English audio guide will provide insights into the rich history of this destination.

Upon arrival in Trakai, you will enjoy 2 hours and 30 minutes of leisure time to independently explore the town or the castle. If your choice is to visit the castle, make your way to the banks of Lake Galvé, where the enchanting Trakai Castle reveals itself on a charming island. It holds the title of the most stunning medieval fortress in Lithuania.

To access the castle, you will cross a drawbridge, reminiscent of the adventures of Teutonic Knights! Inside, discover spacious chambers adorned with medieval furnishings, costumes, and historical maps. You may also ascend to the Grand Duke's Tower and climb the wooden staircase to uncover more rooms - a true journey back to the Middle Ages awaits you!

As the excursion comes to a close, we will reconvene at our predetermined meeting spot in Trakai and prepare for the return trip to the capital. We expect to arrive back in Vilnius by 3 pm.
