Tour Overview

The exploration of Zurich and its neighboring areas begins at the Sihlquai bus terminal. Here, we will board our comfortable vehicle, setting off towards the vibrant heart of the city.

As we travel, enjoy the striking architecture of the Swiss National Museum, a 19th-century gem showcasing significant medieval influences. We will proceed along Bahnhofstrasse, renowned as one of the world’s priciest shopping streets, leading us to the historic district of Zurich. In this area, a delightful walking tour awaits, allowing you to appreciate close-up views of magnificent monuments, including the remarkable St. Peter's Church, home to the largest clock face in Europe!

Following our exploration of the old town, we will return to our bus and travel over the Quaibrücke bridge spanning the Limmat River. On the opposite bank, we will discover significant landmarks, notably the Zurich Opera House. Our next destination is the port town of Meilen. Here, we’ll board a ferry to navigate across the stunning Zürichsee, Zurich's expansive lake. In just 10 minutes, we will arrive in the charming town of Horgen.

The adventure continues with an exhilarating cable car ride to the Felsenegg viewpoint. From this scenic overlook, guests can soak in panoramic views of the Zurich skyline, the stunning lake, and the majestic Alpine mountains. After enjoying the sights, we will descend via cable car and take the bus back to the Sihlquai parking area.

Potential Itinerary Changes

Please note that the tour itinerary may be subject to adjustments due to maintenance or special events. For example, from March 2 to April 10, 2026, and in March 2027, the Felsenegg cable car will be replaced with the Dolderbahn cog railway, offering access to another exceptional viewpoint.

Meeting Point

The tour will start at the designated time at the Sihlquai bus station parking lot, located at the following address in Zurich: Limmatstrasse 2 (in front of the Hotel Fred). Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Upon arrival, check in at the ticket office of "Best of Switzerland Tours".

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as part of the route involves a 5-minute walk along a sloping section.

How To Get There

To get to the Sihlquai parking lot by public transport, you can take the streetcar. Lines 4, 6 and 13 will leave you at the stop called Sihlquai / HB. The Central Train Station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof) is only a 10-minute walk from the Sihlquai parking lot.
