Description

The journey begins at 9 am with a pickup from your hotel in Boca Chica, where you will board our safari trucks to embark on an exploration of the southern region of the Dominican Republic.

As we navigate through mud flats and rugged landscapes during the truck safari, prepare for an exciting ride that promises an adrenaline-filled experience! You will also have the chance to capture stunning photos of the vast sugar cane plantations that encircle the quaint village of Benérito.

Our adventure includes a visit to a weighing station and a local community known as a batey. Here, you'll engage with the farmers, gaining insight into their lifestyle, and enjoy a sampling of fresh sugar cane.

The journey then leads us to the city of Higüey, where you'll discover the art of Dominican cigar production at an organic tobacco factory. Following this, we will explore the vibrant central market and pay a visit to the Basilica of the Virgin of Altagracia, before savoring a traditional Dominican lunch.

As the day continues, prepare to refresh yourself with a swim in the scenic Chavón River, where you can even play among the vines! To cap off our adventure, enjoy a boat cruise on the Chavón River in a charming vessel with a wooden roof—a truly memorable experience awaits!

After the cruise, we will hop back onto the truck and return to the hotels in Boca Chica, aiming to arrive by approximately 5 pm.
