At the specified time, we will collect you from your hotel in Boca Chica and embark on our journey to the historic heart of the Dominican Republic.

This excursion begins with a visit to the Three Eyes National Park, known for its stunning freshwater lake and impressive cave formations. Following this, we will make a stop at the Columbus Lighthouse, believed to house the remains of Christopher Columbus.

After a brief pause in front of the National Palace to take in its magnificent neoclassical design, we will proceed to a local restaurant for a mouthwatering buffet lunch featuring traditional Dominican cuisine, including rice, hearty meat stews, and beans.

Post-lunch, we will embark on a walking tour through the captivating colonial district of Santo Domingo. We will explore the renowned Alcázar de Colón and the Church of Santa María de la Encarnación, recognized as the first cathedral in the Americas. Our walk will lead us to Plaza de España, providing picturesque vistas of the Ozama River.

Continuing through the colonial area, we will stroll down the Via de Las Damas, the oldest street in Santo Domingo. Along this historic avenue, we will visit the National Pantheon, the final resting place for some of the nation’s most distinguished figures. We will also enter this significant monument. Next, we’ll admire the façade of the Jesuit Church, a structure that dates back to the early 18th century.

As we wander through the vibrant colonial streets, you will encounter local art displays, quaint cafes, and craft stalls, including the Larimar and Amber shop-workshop. Here, you will gain insight into the significance of these semi-precious stones in the Dominican Republic. Concluding our exploration, we will head to the scenic boardwalk to enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.

In the end, we will regroup to start our journey back to Boca Chica. We anticipate arriving at your hotel approximately 10 hours after departure.
