Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel in Chengdu to begin your day adventure to the Sichuan Bamboo Sea, also referred to as the Shunan Bamboo Forest.
After an hour's drive, the exploration of this remarkable bamboo forest, extending over 120 km (74 mi), begins. As you navigate its trails, you will encounter up to 428 different types of bamboo, showcasing a unique green landscape.
The route through this natural area includes crossing suspended walkways that lead to the renowned glass bridge. From this vantage point, you can take in spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
After spending 3 hours delving into the Bamboo Sea, the journey continues to the ancient village of Pingle. This historic village, over 2000 years old, is known for its traditional wooden houses, bridges, and cobblestone streets. You will have 2 hours of free time to enjoy lunch, roam its picturesque streets, visit local temples, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient China.
Lastly, you will regroup for the return trip to the departure point, concluding the day after a total of 10 hours.
