Border Tour Between Chile and Argentina

Your adventure begins at 9 am, departing from your accommodation in Pucón. Our first stop is the charming village of Curarrehue, located just a stone's throw from the border with Argentina.

Next, we will continue towards Mamuil Mala, the designated crossing point into Argentina as we navigate through the remarkable Andean landscape. As we embark on this scenic exploration, you will have the chance to admire the majestic Lanín Volcano from afar. Towering at 12,388 feet (3,776 meters), this active volcano is a prominent feature of the Pacific Ring of Fire.

During our time near the volcano, we'll take in the surrounding sights, including the stunning Araucaria forests. These lush green trees create a captivating atmosphere, casting a gentle hue across the valleys that cradle the Lanín Valley.

Continuing along the Argentine border, we will arrive at the shores of Lake Quillelhue, located just under a mile from Argentina. Historically, this region lacked proper roads, compelling travelers to navigate across the lake by boat to traverse between the two nations.

Upon concluding our exploration of Lake Quillelhue, we will head back to your hotel in Pucón, dropping you off by 1 pm.
