Full-Day Itinerary

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in La Ceiba. Our first destination will be the Nombre de Dios National Park, a stunning area adorned with the rich biodiversity characteristic of the Honduran Caribbean. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!

We will kick off our exploration at the enchanting Cacao Lagoon, a tranquil oasis covering approximately 0.38 square miles (1 square kilometer) and surrounded by four varieties of mangrove trees. As we arrive, we’ll board a canoe to glide across the serene waters. While navigating through the lush greenery, you’ll learn about the unique wildlife that thrives in this vibrant ecosystem.

Our journey will take us to the river mouth where Cacao Lagoon meets the Caribbean Sea, granting you some leisure time to unwind on the beach. Following this peaceful interlude, we will continue to the Cangrejal River basin, renowned for its scenic river that originates from the mighty Cordillera Nombre de Dios mountain range.

Next, we will stop by a local chocolate factory, where you’ll observe the artisanal techniques of chocolate-making and enjoy a tasting session. To satisfy your hunger, we’ll then head to a charming local eatery, where a traditional Honduran lunch will be served. After your meal, enjoy a stroll along the natural trails that weave through the vibrant jungle.
