Quilombo Valley Experience

We will depart at the designated hour from Praça das Etnias, embarking on a captivating voyage through the colonial history and traditions of the Quilombo Valley. This journey allows us to fully embrace the natural beauty, culture, and culinary delights of Brazil within a single day.

The adventure begins aboard a jardineira, a traditional Brazilian vehicle, which will take us to our first destination: the residence of the Marcon family. Here, our hosts, Vicente and Fatima, will share the rich history of their Italian heritage and the ancestral tools they employed for cultivating corn and raising livestock. Guests will have the opportunity to sample homemade products, including grape juice, bread, and jams.

Our next visit will be to the Alambique dos Rossas. The proprietor, Romeu Rossa, will guide us through the family-run operation that specializes in cachaça. Attendees will observe the entire production process, from sugar cane to this traditional Brazilian spirit, with a tastings session included.

Finally, we will arrive at the charming residence of the Baretta family, notable for its century-old half-timbered construction, characteristic of German architecture. Here, Jovani Baretta will greet us with a light snack. The experience will be further enhanced by traditional live music and dance, which we encourage all to join. Participants will witness the local rendition of kerb, a dance of European descent performed to celebrate the harvest.

Following this delightful interlude, we will make our way back to the starting location, concluding our experience after approximately four hours.
