Activity Overview

Prepare to explore the breathtaking vistas of Canela! After picking you up from your accommodation in Gramado, we will journey northeast into the picturesque Sierra Gaucha. Let's begin our adventure!

In just 30 minutes, we'll arrive at our first destination, Skyglass, home to the first iron and glass viewing platform in Latin America. Perched at a height of 1,181 feet (360 meters) above the Valley of Ferradura, you will have 1 hour of leisure time to stroll across the transparent floor while soaking in stunning views of the Caí River. For those seeking a thrill, the suspended chairs of the Vale do Abusado attraction offer an exhilarating perspective of the landscape.

Next, we will proceed to the base of the cable car, where you’ll enjoy 1.5 hours to explore this area. A ride on the 2,755-foot-long (840-meter-long) cable car will grant you unparalleled views of the iconic Caracol Falls, a true symbol of the region.

We will also visit the Caracol Castle, a heritage structure built from araucaria wood in the early 20th century. Here, you will uncover its intriguing history and have the opportunity to indulge in a traditional apfelstrudel, a dessert reflective of Canela's German roots.

After a 40-minute visit to the castle, we’ll make our way to a local restaurant, where you can savor the regional cuisine at your leisure for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Following lunch, our journey will take us to the Jolimont winery, renowned for its artisanal wines. You'll have 2 hours to partake in a tour of the facilities, learning about the wine production process, culminating in a delightful wine tasting to conclude your experience.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Gramado, wrapping up an enriching total of 10.5 hours.

Attraction Updates

Beginning October 16, we will no longer visit Caracol Castle. Instead, our itinerary will include Caracol Park, where you can explore various waterfalls, trails, forests, and play areas for children.
