Commencing at 7 am, we will collect you from your hotel in Morelia and embark on our journey to Lake Camécuaro.
Upon arrival, you will have a generous three hours to relish this stunning lake, encircled by lush junipers, oaks, bushes, and various conifers. If you're looking to cool off, feel free to dip into the inviting crystal-clear waters. This area was once the home of the Purepecha civilization; according to tradition, the lagoon was created from the tears of the princess Huanita!
After your time at the lake, we will proceed to Zamora de Hidalgo, where you will enjoy an hour of leisure. Following this, we will experience a guided visit to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, renowned for its magnificent twin towers that rise over 100 meters, making it the tallest church structure in Mexico.
During our visit to this exquisite neo-Gothic cathedral, we will observe the three pointed arches that adorn its façade. Inside, you’ll find eight chapels, a gracefully vaulted transept, and the revered image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
The excursion will conclude with your return to the hotel in Morelia at 5 pm.
