Tour to the Argentine Border

Our adventure begins at 9 am, departing from your accommodation in Pucón. Our first destination is Curarrehue, a charming Chilean village located close to the Argentine border.

After exploring Curarrehue, we'll proceed towards Mamuil Mala, the designated border crossing between Chile and Argentina, nestled within the majestic Andes mountains. Here, you'll embark on a sightseeing experience that allows you to admire, from a distance, the remarkable Lanín Volcano, which soars to an impressive height of 12,388 feet (3,776 meters) and remains an active contender in the Pacific Ring of Fire.

Stopping near this volcano, straddling the border of the two nations, will grant us the opportunity to marvel at the enchanting Araucaria forests. The vibrant hues of these trees offer a serene green tint to the valleys surrounding Lanín Valley.

Your exploration along the Argentine border continues as we follow the scenic shores of Lake Quillelhue, located just under a mile from Argentina. Historically, this area lacked direct roads, requiring travelers to navigate across the lake by boat to journey between the two countries.

Following our visit to Lake Quillelhue, we will make our way back to your hotel in Pucón, ensuring you're returned by 1 pm.
