Villarrica Volcano Trek

Our journey begins at 6 am when we will collect you from your accommodation in Pucón and travel to the base of the renowned Villarrica Volcano.

Upon reaching the foothills of this majestic Andean mountain, nestled between the Chilean regions of Araucanía and Los Lagos, a chairlift will elevate us to 2,000 meters above sea level. There, we will set off on a hiking trail to the summit of Villarrica, rising to an impressive altitude of 2,847 meters!

The ascent, characterized by a medium-high difficulty level, will take approximately 4 to 5 hours and offer captivating views of the Villarrica crater. This magnificent caldera, renowned for its constant emissions of smoke, spans no less than 200 meters across.

At the summit, breathtaking panoramas await, including sights of nearby peaks such as the Lanín and Quetrupillán volcanoes. You will also enjoy serene views of the Villarica and Calafquén lakes. On a clear day, the verdant valleys flanking these lakes will be visible, creating a picturesque landscape.

After a rewarding climb, we will pause for a delightful picnic lunch, allowing you to savor your meal while soaking in the impressive scenery.

To conclude this adventure, we will return via chairlift to the base of the volcano and then head back to your hotel in Pucón, arriving around 6 pm.
