Reloncavi Estuary & Tagua Tagua Lake Day Trip

Experience the wonders of nature with this day excursion to the Reloncavi estuary and Tagua Tagua Lake. During this journey, you will encounter picturesque villages such as Cochamó, all while enjoying the crisp air and breathtaking views of the Chilean scenery.

Day Trip Overview

Your adventure begins between 7:30 and 8 am, when we will collect you from your accommodation and make our way to the quaint village of Caleta La Arena. From there, a ferry will transport us to embark on a boat voyage across the Reloncavi estuary.

After a 35-minute sail, we will arrive at Caleta Puelche. Continuing our journey in a minibus, we will journey along the estuary's perimeter, taking in the stunning mountains and valleys that surround us. We will pass through the town of Puelo before reaching the serene Tagua Tagua Lake.

Upon arrival, you will have 2 hours of free time to enjoy lunch and explore the beautiful turquoise waters of Tagua Tagua Lake. Take a moment to wander along the banks or opt for a boat ticket to witness the iconic waterfall of this natural oasis up close!

Afterward, we will reconvene to visit Cochamó, celebrated as one of the most picturesque villages in the Reloncavi estuary. Did you know that this region was originally settled by the Huilliche people? As we stroll through its charming streets, we will uncover the town's history and admire notable landmarks, including the church with its unique octagonal bell tower, alongside the stunning natural backdrop.

To conclude our day, we will return by minibus through Ralún and along the tranquil shores of Lake Llanquihue. We expect to drop you off in the center of Puerto Varas between 4:30 and 5 pm.
