Highlights of the Cape Verde Snorkeling Adventure

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation at the scheduled time, after which we will make our way to the dive center located on Santa Maria Beach. Are you ready to embark on this unforgettable snorkeling experience on Sal Island? Let’s dive in!

Once we arrive, a brief welcome awaits, followed by the distribution of snorkeling gear including masks and life jackets. We will then board a boat that will take us to one of the designated snorkeling sites. Choosing between the Bay of Santa Maria or Bikini will depend on factors such as safety conditions, visibility, and ocean currents.

The Bay of Santa Maria is conveniently located a mere 200 meters (650 feet) from the shore, featuring a reef that descends to 8 meters (26 feet). Here, you may encounter an array of marine life, including parrot fish, trumpet fish, rays, turtles, and even moray eels.

On the other hand, Bikini, situated in the island's northwest, presents a shallower reef that varies from 2 to 6 meters (6.5 - 20 feet). In this area, expect to see colorful corals, moray eels, lobsters, and a multitude of tropical fish.

After an exciting two-hour snorkeling experience, we will sail back to our original departure point, concluding our aquatic exploration of Sal Island.
