At the scheduled meeting time, we will gather at the Marina of Vila Franca do Campo to embark on the scuba diving introduction along the picturesque south coast of São Miguel. If you feel anxious, rest assured! An experienced instructor will be with you throughout the entire process.

The initial segment of the session will involve learning the theoretical aspects of scuba diving. We will explore the various components of diving gear and their respective functions. Additionally, we will cover diving techniques and hand signals used underwater, ensuring you gain confidence swiftly.

Once the theoretical foundation is laid, we'll board a boat, equip ourselves with all necessary gear, and set course for the nature reserve around the islet of Vila Franca do Campo. Here, we will dive into the sea to apply the skills acquired earlier. During this dive, expect to marvel at an array of marine flora and fauna, as well as explore underwater canyons that trace back to the 16th century. This promises to be a remarkable adventure.

After approximately three hours, we will conclude our diving journey by returning by boat to the departure point.
