Activity Overview

At the prearranged time, a vehicle will collect you from your accommodation in Huatulco, setting off towards the beautiful Oaxacan coast. As we drive along a picturesque route lined with untouched beaches and lush greenery, you’ll find yourself captivated by the natural beauty surrounding you.

After approximately an hour, we will reach Puerto Ángel, a charming fishing village that has retained its authentic character through the years. This area is well-known not just for its stunning views, but also as a vital hub in marine conservation efforts in Mexico.

You will partake in an informative session designed to explain the remarkable life cycle of sea turtles. This presentation will cover their birth, the challenges they encounter, and the crucial role you will play in helping with their release—a truly enlightening experience about the balance of life and nature!

The highlight of the day is soon to arrive: the release of the turtles. You will have the opportunity to gently hold a jicara bowl containing a tiny hatchling, a respectful and safe method of transferring them without disrupting their innate instincts.

As the sun begins to set, casting hues of gold, pink, and orange across the sky, you will guide your turtle back to the ocean, witnessing its first steps into the wide expanse of the sea. The excitement will surely be palpable!

Once this heartwarming moment has passed, you will enjoy some leisure time to explore the area, relax on the beach, and capture these precious memories with photographs before returning to Huatulco. We anticipate arriving back at your hotel around three hours after the initial pickup.
