Benfica Stadium, frequently referred to as Da Luz Stadium, stands as one of the most revered football venues in Lisbon. This self-guided tour allows you to explore the legacy of the club at your leisure, including a visit to its museum.

Tour Overview

You may begin your journey at your convenience by arriving at Gate 17, located near the statue of the iconic footballer Eusébio da Silva Ferreira. Upon entry, you will scan QR codes positioned at various points of interest, revealing detailed information about the stadium. Should any inquiries arise, the staff is available to assist you.

Your exploration commences on the first floor, where you will encounter models depicting both the historic and contemporary versions of Benfica's football ground, a prominent name in Lisbon's sports scene. Notably, the club currently holds the title of the most successful in Portuguese league history.

The tour continues throughout the Da Luz stadium, with visits to various sections, including the Sagres Court, the NX Lounge, the changing rooms, the Eagle Room, and the press area.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to walk through the tunnel leading to the pitch, experiencing the thrill that players feel before a match. You'll also learn about the legendary football icons who have graced the field, shaping football history. You are welcome to spend as much time as you desire in your favorite parts of the stadium!

Visit to the Benfica Cosme Damião Museum

To enhance your experience, consider adding a visit to the Benfica Cosme Damião Museum. This complimentary tour, which lasts approximately an hour and a half, showcases the prestigious trophies awarded to Benfica over the years, including the notable European Cups from 1961 and 1962.

Your museum visit will also offer a glimpse of Benfica's historic jerseys, as well as footballs, flags, and various artifacts that narrate the club’s storied past.

Museum Experience

The museum tour is free and unaccompanied by a guide. However, staff members are available throughout the exhibit to address any questions you may have in English or Portuguese.

The museum operates Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, providing flexibility for your visit. From July to September, the hours extend to 10 am to 7 pm.

Important Information

• Stadium tours are only available in the morning on league match days.
• On international match days, stadium tours will not occur, although the museum will remain accessible.
• Schedules for both the stadium tour and museum may be subject to change due to special local events.

Temporary Closures

• May 14: During 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm, access to the press area will be restricted due to a scheduled event. This event will also utilize the pitch until 6 pm.
• May 16 and 17: The guided tour will proceed but without access to the locker room, press room, or players' tunnel.
• May 20 to 24: Concert events will restrict access to the locker room, press room, and players' tunnel.
• May 25 to 27: Both the stadium and museum will be closed for concert activities.
