Tour Overview
Your adventure begins at 9 am as we depart from your accommodation in Chennai. Our first destination is the stunning Kapaleeshwarar Temple, an important site of Hindu worship dedicated to Lord Shiva, renowned for its vibrant façade.
Next, we will visit Fort Saint George, a significant remnant of British colonial history. Here, you will explore the museum that chronicles this era, featuring an array of artifacts such as coins, weaponry, historic uniforms, and correspondence between notable military figures including Generals Robert Clive and Lord Cornwallis.
After a self-arranged lunch break, we will proceed to the Victoria Memorial Hall. Within this striking pink sandstone structure, you’ll find a vast assortment of artwork, particularly celebrated for pieces originating from the Rajput and Moghul traditions.
Our final stop will take us to one of Chennai's prominent Catholic landmarks, the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Thomas. This building, with its neo-Gothic design, stands out amidst the adjacent architecture.
The experience concludes at 5 pm when we return to your hotel in Chennai.
