Description

Engage in an unforgettable journey to discover an aloe vera farm on the island of Fuerteventura. This unique experience allows you to traverse diverse landscapes, interact with donkeys and sheep, and master the art of crafting your own aloe vera cream to bring home!

Tour Overview

At the appointed time, we will gather at the entrance of Verdeaurora Bio Farm, located on the outskirts of Antigua. Here, we will unveil the fascinating world of the Canary Islands' quintessential plant.

Our first stop will introduce you to the resident animals of Verdeaurora, most of whom are rescues. You'll have the chance to feed the Majorero donkeys, an indigenous breed that embodies Fuerteventura's cultural traditions.

Following this, we'll embark on a guided exploration of the farm, where we'll stroll through a permaculture garden featuring various tropical fruit trees before reaching the iconic aloe vera fields, a hallmark of the Canary Islands.

You will then learn the proper techniques for cutting and managing an aloe vera leaf, followed by a delightful snack that includes local goat cheese, artisan bread, and exquisite olive oil (from both Picual and Arbequina varieties produced on-site) paired with a glass of Canarian wine.

The tour will wrap up after approximately 45 minutes of immersive activities.

Tour + Premium Tasting

Should you opt for the premium tasting experience, instead of a simple snack, you will savor a curated selection of local delicacies. This includes island tomatoes drizzled with organic extra virgin olive oil, toasted bread topped with homemade sun-dried tomato pâté enhanced with almonds and basil, artisan goat cheese, freshly made gofio, artisan bread, and, of course, a glass of Canarian wine. You’ll also enjoy papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes) with a homemade mojo sauce, using a traditional family recipe.

Please be aware that the offerings for both the tapas and premium tasting may change based on seasonal availability.
