Embark on an adventure through the breathtaking desert landscape of Peru with a day excursion from Ica to explore the Canyon of the Lost, an extraordinary gem nestled in the heart of the country!

Excursion to the Canyon of the Lost

Your journey will begin between 6 and 7 am, when we will collect you from your accommodation in Ica to embark on this exciting adventure.

Our first destination will be the central plaza at Ocucaje's Plaza de Armas, where we'll take in the sights of notable monuments including the shark, the farmer, and the fighting cocks.

Following this, we will make a stop at a nearby restaurant, allowing you the opportunity for a hearty breakfast and to stock up on snacks for the journey ahead.

We will then proceed to the spectacular Cañón de los Perdidos, or Canyon of the Lost. Our initial stop here will be at a scenic viewpoint, granting you sweeping views of this remarkable geological structure.

Your exploration will continue as we stroll through the natural sanctuary of the canyon. After a brief introduction to its geological history, you'll be able to capture stunning photographs at the canyon's entrance. A leisurely walk along the base of the canyon, situated at the confluence of the Ica and Seco rivers, will allow you to observe various species of local wildlife including owls, black vultures, and lizards.

As we conclude this segment of our adventure, you'll have time to enjoy lunch at a local spot. The itinerary also includes a visit to a regional winery, where you can sample authentic products such as pisco, wine derived from pisco, and pisco cream.

Our return to Ica will have us back at the central plaza by approximately 3 to 4 pm.

Pickup Information

This tour offers pickup from central hotels in Ica. If you are staying at a location further from the city center (like Hotel Hacienda San Juan, Viñas Queirolo, Hotel La Caravedo, or Hotel Bodega El Huarango), we will arrange to meet you at Plaza de Armas in Ica.
