Our adventure begins promptly at 9 am, with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Managua. Following a comfortable journey lasting about an hour and a half, we will reach the base of the stunning Momotombo volcano. Here, we will investigate the historic remnants of León Viejo, a city established by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba.

Next, we will head to present-day León, making our first stop at the magnificent Cathedral, an architectural marvel. This location is also the final resting place of the famous poet Rubén Darío, who significantly shaped Nicaragua's literary scene. After appreciating the cathedral's splendor, we will visit the House-Museum, which provides a glimpse into Darío's upbringing and life.

As we continue our exploration, we'll venture into the local market, where you can indulge in a selection of delectable traditional products that represent León's culinary heritage. You'll have one hour of free time to savor the delicious flavors of the region!

Our cultural journey proceeds with a visit to the Art Center of the Ortiz-Gurdián Foundation, where we will gain insights into the artistic methods and styles characteristic of this part of Nicaragua. After fully immersing ourselves in the lively local art scene, we will start our journey back to Managua.

To conclude our enriching excursion, we will return you to your hotel by 5 pm.
