Tour Overview

At the specified meeting time, we will gather in front of the stunning Cathedral of Puebla to commence our exploration. We’ll start by gazing at its impressive baroque façade, while uncovering the intriguing secrets behind its architectural elements and deep symbolism.

Next, we will step inside this extraordinary 16th-century structure for an intimate look at its grandeur. Over the course of thirty minutes, we will delve into the Cathedral's artistic and spiritual essence, pausing at several of its iconic chapels. These include the Gospel Chapel, the Chapel of St. James the Apostle, and the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe, each containing captivating details that are sure to leave a lasting impression!

Our journey will also take us to the resplendent Altar of the Kings, a truly breathtaking part of the church. Here, we’ll marvel at the alcoves adorned with saintly figures that inspired its name, set against a backdrop of undeniable opulence.

Continuing onward, we will stroll through the Zócalo of Puebla, where we'll explore the original blueprint of the city and its significance during colonial times. As we navigate this historic area, we'll uncover stories related to the distinctive portals, the Municipal Palace, and other notable structures that continue to influence everyday life. Our itinerary also includes a look at the model of Puebla, giving us insight into the city's planning and growth since its founding, while highlighting its urban and spiritual progress.

To conclude our tour on a high note, we will ascend to the terrace of the Royalty Hotel, offering one of the finest panoramas of the historic district. We will gaze upon the Cathedral of Puebla from this elevated vantage point and, as we take in its majestic outline, we’ll raise a glass with a delightful beverage—a specialty cocktail crafted from red fruits or tamarind, specially made for this occasion.

We'll bid farewell after an enriching experience lasting approximately 1 hour.

On the day of the activity, the guide will be waiting for you next to the Puebla Cathedral, specifically on the corner of calle 3 Ote and calle 16 de Septiembre. Please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before the indicated time.
