Itinerary Overview

Your experience begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation at the scheduled time, after which we will head towards the Quindío Botanical Garden.

As we commence our journey along the main two-kilometre path, you will encounter the garden's most enchanting areas. Our first stop will be the Butterfly Farm, where you can marvel at the sight of 1,500 butterflies dancing among vibrant nectar-rich flowers—truly a natural spectacle!

Continuing on our way, we will have the opportunity to observe a remarkable array of native birds. For a closer look, three viewing platforms are available within the garden, allowing you to appreciate how these species harmonize with the lush surroundings, making the Quindío Botanical Garden the vibrant core of the Colombian coffee region.

Did you know that the palm tree is the emblematic tree of this area? In the garden, we will explore the National Collection of Colombian Palms, home to an impressive 210 species out of the 255 species that exist in Colombia!

While wandering through the Garden, we can also visit the Ethnobotanical Museum of Palms, the Insect Museum, and the Museum of Geology and Soils; all of which contribute to a deeper understanding of the region. Additionally, we will immerse ourselves in the local culture at the Museum of the Crossing of the Andes of Quindio.

Your day will conclude with a return trip to your hotel after a fulfilling five to six hours of exploration.
